Taiwan Day 6 - Ximending Night Market

Was thought of updating my recent trip to Cameron Highland and just realized I have not finished my Taiwan trip blogpost. Hahhahaha! Almost 1/2 year ago only :P

After Danshui we all went to Ximending for dinner. We had the proclaimed the best Mee Shua in Taiwan "Ah Chung Mee Shua" Hope I pronounced it right.

It's a restaurant that doesn't have table for customers but all the people there would queue up and eat on the road side.

This is the mee shua. Taste not bad tho by adding some vinegar onto it.

Walked around the night market

and saw this fat Garfield. If u read Chinese it said "Do not disturb me sleeping" Damn! I should place this on my door.

I think I saw this police car before in Malaysia. Oh ya! The old Volvo sprayed his car like a police car.

The girls continue shopping and the guys find ~~WiFi~~ a place to rest. Then we saw heaven....... I mean Starbucks.

chill out and steal some WiFi.

After that we head for supper. Had this Roti Canai like bread. Taste very good tho!

After that we walk back to our homestay. Walked on a pedestrian bridge and had a slow shutter photo shoot.

2012 Chinese New Year Movie - Ah Beng | I Love HK

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! For those who don't celebrate, happy holiday :)

Yesterday and today I've watched two Chinese New Year movies.

The first one was "Ah Beng Movie: Three Wishes"

It's a local movie from the series "Ah Beng" starred by MyFM Radio DJs and more.

The story is a guys who given three wishes by God of Fortune to time travel to the future to see his grown up's son "Ah Beng". Ah Beng who invites him into his life and things starts to change around him.

Rate 7.5/10 Quite hilarious movie and touching. I've placed a very high expectation on this movie after the movies "Great Day" and "Woo Hoo" with great scenery of shooting but unfortunately it's just story.

The 2nd movie "I Love Hong Kong 2012"

I've actually re-watched "I Love Hong Kong" yesterday and it's still tickling.

This movie is a sequel of it but with different storyline but similar theme. Noticed lesser TVB casts in this movie compare with the previous.

Rate 7.5/10 It's a enjoyable comedian movie but all the funny casts like Sandra Ng, Wong Cho-lam, Leung Ka-fai and more are not here.

Malaysia Prime Minister Chinese Facebook Page 阿Jib哥

Do you know our Malaysia Prime Minister has just launches his Chinese's Facebook Page and named 阿Jib哥 (ahjibgor) which mean Brother Najib in Chinese. Ah Jib Got was chosen as it was the popular name given to the Najib by social media users and the Chinese population. *facepalm*

This name was created to give Najib another forum to get social media users to know him as an ordinary member of society and not straight-jacket as prime minister.

This page will support his existing page and meant to be apolitical and discuss things like Najib's hobby.

This "Ah Jib Gor" went online yesterday around 4.30pm has added 6,300 followers and on going.

Hopefully they will not use google translator to essay their post. lol! Since we already have 阿Jib哥, his wife should create 阿JIB嫂 (ah jib sou).

Brought Home Little Dragon In Conjunction of 2012 CNY

2012 is the year of Dragon according to Chinese calendar. So I've brought home a little dragon as my new pet for more ONG & HUAT AHH!!! ~~Sorry I'm a typical Chinese Man~~

This is actually a Limited Edition Kingston 8GB flash drive. Every year Kingston will come out with a special flash drive like this. The packaging of it is very nice and if you look closely, this little dragon is actually seating on an emperor's golden chair.

I've made a quick unboxing of this flash drive, enjoy; ~~Hahahha! Everything also want to do unboxing :P~~

Last 2 weeks I've went to Fukuya Restaurant, an authentic Japanese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur with YY in celebrating Christmas.

The restaurant’s specialty is the Kaiseki menu – the beautiful setting becomes more than just that – it serves as the perfect complement to such gastronomical sophistication. A Kaiseki menu, consists only fresh seasonal ingredients, of which most of it are air-flown fresh from Japan twice a week. The food is prepared according to the strictest traditional methods. Examples of the menu are a platter of Japanese delicacy appetizer, a serving of Dragon roll (tiger prawn rolled with avocado), beef wagyu. A delectable pairing of premium ingredients and artistic presentation and you are all set for a superlative dining experience.

Wooden is built everywhere in the restaurant and I can feel the Zen there.

Fruits are served with a hot towel.

It's a nice place to have lunch/dinner and hang out with friends. The foods there is very fresh especially their Sashimi, even their fruits are super sweet. The biggest pull back is their operating hours there is very short.

GZOX Auto Detailing

Chinese New Year is getting near, everyone is buy new clothes, so do my ride have to be cleans and hensem for the new year. Hehehe!

Last week I've sent my car for detailing at GZOX Auto Detailing at Sunway to polish and add a polymer coating.

GZOX is famous with premium glass coating can easily cost RM1.8k to RM5k depending on car size and condition. I'm very poor one so I got the cheapest fluorine coating only.

The process take about 3 hours to wash, clean, clay, polish and coating.

There is an air-cond waiting room at the top of the shop with WiFi, TV, Magazine, Computer and even a meeting room.

Hungry and thirsty? Ali Cafe is there for you. There's a glass view for customer to see how's their in progress.

The entire process is clean, detailed and professionally done. They even polish the side step and cleaned the petrol cover. You won't get this from those cheapo car polish that done under some trees.

We Bought A Zoo | Hell's Gate/11-11-11

Had my last movie of 2011, watched "We Bought A Zoo" on 31st Jan 2011.

This is a heartwarming and delightful family film. This movie took place in Southern California, a father moves his family to the countryside after her wife death so he can forget and move on with a new life. In finding a new house, he has actually bought a Zoo. He met new friends and renovate and re-open a struggling zoo that closed down 2 years back.

Rate 8.5/10 It's a great movie, touched my heart. Oh ya! Forgot to mention, this movie is based on a true story and true story is always great!

Just watched my 1st movie of 2012 and it's a horror movie. The movie is called "Hell's Gate" in Malaysia but others country is known as 11-11-11.

It started the death of his wife and child of a famous author who has always witnessed the 11:11 number in his life. He was then travels to Barcelona to see his estranged brother and soon dying father where he learnt that his life is plagued by events that occur on 11/11/11.

Rate 6/10 It's a quite hard-to-digest movie tho. The so called demons are not-horror and the matching puzzles of the story is quite ok!

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Just watched Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows with buddies at 1Shamelin TGV. I was pissed with TGV Cinemas with the unacceptable reason for setting up higher ticket price.

The reason "WE" watch movie on Wednesday is to have a great deal movie ticket that are suppose to sell at half price. When I walked to the counter they told me is RM13/tix cause this is a blockbuster movie. Hello! Other cinemas who also screening the same movie are giving 1/2 price on Wednesday, even those small cinema also practicing so. Double standard?

I've no option to purchase it as all my friends already reached there.

This is the second sequel of Sherlock Holmes where Sherlock again dragged his best sidekick Dr. Watson to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty. This time Holmes's older brother Mycroft Holmes helped out together.

I've actually blasted a tweet about TGV on the ticketing issue and theirs twitter's handler contacted me in a very short time. They have the problem resolved immediate and received a call from TGV's 1Shamelin PIC for the explanation. It was a glitch on their system. I'm very impressive with the efficiency on how they handle complaints and feedback from customers.

Panasonic Lumix Launch in Malaysia 2011

On 19th Panasonic has launched its latest premium line of Compact Micro System Camera, LUMIX DMC-GX1 at Sunway Resort. I was lucky enough to be invited to witness the great launch event by Panasonic Malaysia.

There were 5 new products of Panasonic LUMIX were introduced and the Panasonic LUMIX-GX1 that caught my eye.

You can now own a compact camera that able to output great image quality equally with DSLR. It has a large 16 megapixel sensor with a maximum ISO up to 12,800. Now you will have no problem to shoot great photo in low light environments.

It uses a Micro Four Thirds mount which is compatible with both Panasonic and Olympus lenses having it much more variants lenses to choice including power zoom X, telephoto zoom, single focal length, wide-angle, fish-eye, macro and more.

The autofocus is remarkable fast at 0.09 second speed by simply touching the subject on the 3-inch (460k) touchscreen. Besides shooting great images it can also record 1080/60i Full-High Definition video with full-time AF in MP4 or AVCHD that can be playback on PC or other portable electronic devices without a need for conversion.

It has these two modes of cool features; Creative Control and Photo Style that let users capture precisely true-to-life images and create their own beautifully expression images.

I love the hand grip of the GX1 which I found it’s ergonomically to hold and fast auto-focus.

Meet Ms. Jane, she’s working in a legal firm back in her country. Although there was a little communication barrier but we manage to have some chit chat. :P

There was a voting of Ms. Photogenic carried out that night and all the guests are given a ballot to cast vote for theirs favourite Ms. Photogenic.

Ms. Czech Republic received the most votes by the crowd and crowned as Ms. Photogenic of that event.

Seriously I found Ms. Belarus much more photogenic. Just in my humble opinion.

Malaysia New Banknotes: Distinctively Malaysia

Malaysia has announced a new series of banknotes with a theme "Distinctively Malaysia" that consist of RM1, RM5, RM10, RM20, RM50 and RM100. The new banknotes features Malaysian wealth, arts and crafts and natural wonders.

The long discontinue RM20 is here again with a sporting bring orange. Other banknotes are bright in colours that reminded me of monopoly. Who agree?

The new notes will be available starting July 2012 and commemorative sets are on sales starting today.

Bank Negara Malaysia revealed the new series of Malaysian banknotes today, Wednesday 21 December 2011. The new series draws its inspiration from the distinctive features of Malaysia, incorporating elements of the country's natural treasures, culture and heritage. Themed 'Distinctively Malaysia', the banknotes features traditional expressions in the art and craft, natural wonders, flora and fauna and the economy. Day 2 - Singapore Lumia Launch

Here I'mg gonna continue back Singapore trip on Nokia Lumia launch.

The following day had a wonderful breakfast before attending a Fireside Chat on Developer Ecosystem with Nokia and Microsoft.

A coach bus are ready on our Hotel to usher us to the event location at TheatreWorks, 72-13 Mohamed Sultan Road.

Only few of us medias and bloggers were on this bus.

Got my media pass for developer session and keynote.

The developer session is about partnership between Nokia-Microsoft in building up the ecosystem in delivers differentiated and innovative products with unrivaled scale in terms of product breadth, geographical reach and brand identity.

The developer session started by Mr. Neil Gordon, Vice-President, Sales Nokia South East Asia Pacific.

"We are very heartened by the strong support we have seen from developers in this region, some of whom are with us today. We are inspired by our partner enthusiasm, which is spreading rapidly across the ecosystem. The momentum has grown in leaps and bounds and the response to what are doing has been fantastic. Mission Impossible 4 : Ghost Protocol

I've just watched MI4: Ghost Protocol, special thanks to 4D Magnum for the special invite. Meet up with some bloggers buddies and friends there.

~~What's the movie about? Of course some missions that impossibly be done by a normal person~~.

This time it's about IMF being shut down when it's drawn into a bombing of the Kremlin caused his new team to rogue to clear their organisation's name. I saw iPhone 4, not sure is 4S or just 4, the discontinued Dell Streak 7, MacBook, Dell servers and a lot BWMs crashed. lol!

Rate 9/10 It's a nice movie, heart pumping with all the stunts and actions. Super like the proto BMW sport car, look like an EV BMW. They actually promoted BMW a lot and even shown a free fall 100ft on a BMW 1 series you will survived but must with seatbelt on. lol! Insurance is not covered said agent Benji.

Arthur Christmas

Christmas is around the corner so I would not want to miss chance to watched a festive season movie. So I've catched Arthur Christmas on the weekend with YY.

Watched 2D for greater experience at Pavilion. Arthur Christmas is about a Christmas night Santa's second son teamed up his father use a high-tech operation for the presents delivery mission. Unfortunately this was one present being left out and Claus's family would not like to see this happen especially youngest's son, Arthur.

Arthur is the clumsiest in the family member but he has a very passion heart to be a good Santa thus he faced a very tough mission to accomplish.

Rate 8/10 I can feel the Christmas coming! I want to be Santa, he only need to work 1 day in a year! :P

Day 1 - Singapore Nokia Lumia Launch

Today is the first day I'm here in Singapore, attending the Nokia's First Windows Phone launch, Nokia Lumia.

Reached KLIA around 9am meeting up with Nokia's PR, Asri and few others medias.

Went to Old Town for breakfast before our flight to Singapore. I was surprise to know they have Old Town in KLIA.

We took SilkAir Airline to the destination. No more stewardess doing the safe demonstration ~~just watch the damn clip~~

We were like booked the entire plane as there was less than 40 people including the SilkAir's employees.

We can sit anywhere like a lousai :P

The flight was only 30minutes plus which was shorter than my trip from KL Sentral to KLIA.

We were welcomed at the departure hall and every each of us get a limo to send to our hotel. Yeah! It's like a VIP / LikeALouSai! ~~What a waste of resources?~~

We stayed at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore which is very near to Clarke Quay.

Had our lunch at the cafe in the hotel before we check in.

Check out my room! Yeah! I own both of the beds. How I wish I can merge both of the beds.

Had a quick rest before the night come and head for dinner. ~~Sound like a Makan & Tidur trip :P~~

We asked a staff from the hotel for direction on how to reach Clarke Quay, he said it's only 10-15 minutes walks and it's very near only. So we took the option to walk.

It's very nice there with all the Christmas decoration and LEDs

We had our dinner at Corlander Leaf Restaurant.

Had a great dinner there, the foods there are not bad and the price is quite ok if compare dollar with dollar.

That's a wrap for day 1. Can't wait for tomorrow to come, waited badly wanted to feel and touch the Nokia Lumia. Petaling Street Warriors - Great Local Comedy

Today was suppose to have our regular "Friday Badminton" with my buddy. The courts booking at 1Shamelin has messed up by the badminton's management. So we ended up no badminton and made a sudden decision to catch a movie at TGV instead.

Watching movie at TGV's 1Shamelin is great! No need to queue and we can pick any seats that we want #likeaboss. The staffs there are courtesy, they will opened doors after the movie ended with a smile on their's face accompany with a word of "Thank You". Both thumbs up to them. ~~I want to raise my feet to do the thumbs~~

Why we are treated as VIP? ~~I owned the cinema ma!~~ Hahahha! They just opened and not really much people know this mall has a cinema. Now I got a new place to hangout if I want to catch a movie out of blue :P

Ok! Back to the movie.

Another great local movie that we shouldn't missed. Why? We all laugh from the beginning of the movie till end.

This movie is set in Petaling Street in 1908 where it tells a Hokkien Mee's seller who finds himself entangled in deadly battle with skilled fighters. He was linked to the Qing Dynasty and rumor that he possessed of a lost treasure.

He was protected by his wife that refrain himself from consummating his marriage so he can master the "Virgin Kung Fu" in order for him to protect himself in future.

The storyline may sound ridiculousness but who care, I just want to laugh out my arse. :P

Rate 8/10 One word to describe this movie "Chee Bet Kaw Siao" Go and watch, you would not regret.

Taiwan Day 6 - Danshui Fisherman's Wharf

After a wonderful dinner and hot spring spa we head to Danshui, famous with Fisherman's Wharf. It also called as lover bridge whereby a lot couples dating here to watch sunset.

Taiwan Day 6 - Beitou Hot Spring

Back to my Taiwan trip, continue from Yang Ming Shan we head for lunch and hot spring at Beitou.

This restaurant not only serve foods, they also run hot spring spa at the back.

They have this package whereby if we spend a certain of money we will get hot spring spa for free.

The deal quite good since we all are so hungry, we ordered a lot

After the heavy yummy foods we rest for a while before head for hot spring spa.

Bought this kit for the spa which cost NT100. It includes a small towel and a disposable underwear.

There are few rooms designed for hot spring, so we divided to 3.

The hot water level can be adjust where there are two water inlets, 1 is from the hot spring and the other one is normal water.

I setup a tripod in the room and planked inside lol! :P

We guys even take group picha!

We all are refreshed after the spa, it was awesome after the tired walks at Yang Ming Shan.

Catched The Adventures of Tintin last weekend.

Tintin is actually one of my favourite cartoon tv series when I was a kid. Travel around the world on adventure with his best side kick, snowy the dog.

Having bought a model ship, the Unicorn, for a pound off a market stall Tintin is initially puzzled that the sinister Mr. Sakharine should be so eager to buy it from him, resorting to murder and kidnapping Tintin - accompanied by his marvellous dog Snowy - to join him and his gang as they sail to Morocco on an old cargo ship. Sakharine has bribed the crew to revolt against the ship's master, drunken Captain Haddock, but Tintin, Snowy and Haddock escape, arriving in Morocco at the court of a sheikh, who also has a model of the Unicorn. Haddock tells Tintin that over three hundred years earlier his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock was forced to scuttle the original Unicorn when attacked by a piratical forebear of Sakharine but he managed to save his treasure and provide clues to its location in three separate scrolls, all of which were secreted in models of the Unicorn. Ronan & Mun Lay Birthday, Levain

This afternoon went to Levain Boulangerie for brunch at the same time celebrate Ronan & Mun Lay's 27th birthday.

Levain is a french-style bakery cafe recommended by Jerry. Levain operate on a bungalow that located at Jalan Delima, Off Jalan Imbi.

They serve sandwiches, pasta, cakes, soup and much more.

Their spaghetti are not bad but the portion quite small

Sandwiches are yummy.

Pizzas and breads are also good. Wait! All also sound great :P

Oh ya! Must order mushroom soup, highly recommended.

Yesterday I've catched Immortals with my fellow friends. Broke a new record of 27 seats bought to watch movie together-gether.

The movie is about a mortal man, Theseus whom chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against ruthless King Hyperion, who is on rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity.

Rate 8/10 Heard a quite numbers of bad feedback on this movie. To be honest, I found the movie is actually not bad. Interesting storyline about gods and mortal relationship. Do you know why Theseus can be appointed as god? Remember Theseus's mother were raped by villager? Zeus would always disguise as villager? Haha!

Taiwan Day 6 - Yang Ming Shan : 力宏-依然愛你 MV

Was checking out Wong Fu Productions latest videos of behind the scenes Music Video of Leehom latest song "依然愛你" / "Still In Love With You"

Has been a big fans of Wong Fu Productions way back and I've watched all of their videos that shared on YouTube. Another Asian YouTubers that made me proud :P ~~damn I'm so racist~~ they are really fun and chases their dreams together. Go Phil, Wes & Ted!

The making were took place in Taiwan and it has reminded me my visit to Taiwan few months back ago. So I'm gonna continue and finish up my Taiwan trip blogpost.

2nd last days of my Taiwan trip we went to Yang Ming Shan & few more places.

Early morning we went for breakfast nearby our homestay.

Eat in the van while on our way to Yang Ming Shan. It took about 2 hours to reach from Taipei city to YMS.

Yang Ming Shan famous with their great scenery views and luckily the weather that day was great. The cloudy blue skies matched the green sea views of mountains.

We all trying to do Bollywood style here. lol!

The view so nice we cam-ho alot and I planked too :P

Not forgotten to get all my brothers to take picha together.

We walked to the other side of mountain to see some cattle and er....... cattle's poo

Check out the view behind. Damn nice! Took a lot photos there.

While we walked, Sandy saw a road direction to a waterfall and it stated there 0.9km. We all thought that is near and since the view here so nice, the waterfall should be nice also!

I guess you know what I mean here, the path ain't near, took us nearly an hour to reach.

Yes another 0.1km to go

and finally we saw the waterfall. Look nice right? To be honest, the image below were cropped and it's super small. Smaller than our Malaysia Sungai Congkak x100.

The most disappointed were, we can't even touch the water as we can only view the waterfall on a bridge. Really WTF! I meant Want To Faint . If you guys saw this Jyansih Waterfall at Yang Ming Shan, just ignore and skip it!

We took a group photo atleast after the tiredness walk and sweated like pig to reach to such disappointed point of uninterested (POU)

Next we head to Beitou for lunch and hotspring! I planked at there! Do check it out.

Last weekend I've attend an event organised by Nuffnang & Churp Churp invited us, bloggers to have a tea time session together at Chatime in Publika, Solaris Dutamas.

This is a newly open the famous bubble tea franchise, Chatime. Any of you never drink Chatime before? Let me see you hand? Those who raised your hand, ok you are a bit out. Fast fast and go to the nearest Chatime and inhales some bubbles :P

Publika is generous enough to arrange a corner for all of us for this session. There are about 100 Nuffnanger & Churpers attended the event.

Watch Tower Heist yesterday at Mid Valley. Tower Heist is about a group of hard working people who work in a wealthy business man's Arthur Shaw's high-rise residence tower. Then they all found out they've fallen victim to Ponzi's scheme, cheated all theirs retirement money.

Ben Stiller as Josh Kovacs were one of the victim who works closely with Shaw and well-trust Shaw till he found out Shaw also cheated him. Since he used to works very closely with Shaw and he know a lot of him, so he planned a take back his co-workers money and his.

Rate 8.5 Love the storyline and humor of the movie. Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller indeed the jokers.

Taiwan Day 5 - Taipei 101

Continue back to my Taiwan trip.

Once we reached back to Taipei, we went to Guang Hua, an IT gadgets paradise just like our IT Mall in Malaysia, Low Yat Plaza.

We took MRT from Taipei Main Station to Zhongxiao MRT Station, it's in walk distance.

You can find any gadget from digital camera, laptop, flash drive, GPS, handphone, you name it and they got it there.

Assorted brands can be found there.

The flash drive are selling quite cheap as most of the flash drive are made in Taiwan.

Digital Camera anyone?

The things they sell there is slightly cheaper compare in Malaysia but the warranty that stopped me from buying anything expensive.

Didn't stay there quite long as others eagerly to go shopping.

Went to Hankyu Shopping mall and few others big shopping more in the heart of Taipei.

Branded stuffs shopping! The gal bought a handbag each, limited edition Longchamp wor. They said Taiwan sell cheaper and limited so won't bump with others that carry the same handbag -.-" They are buying the same design tho!

We stopped by at Taipei 101 at night, didn't went up as it's very cloudy so can't really see the view from the top.

Took a group photo with it instead.

Then head for makan nearby there as it's getting dark.

Next day we went to Yang Ming Shan! Stay tune!

Just watched In Time starred Joshua Timberlake and the sexy Amanda Seyfried. Hahahah!

Keed! It was Justin Timberlake.

In Time is about in a future where people stop aging at 25 but they are engineered to live only one more year. The cool part is their mother, sister, daughter even grandmother looks only 25, they can't differentiate their ages by appearance. You might dated a grandma tho! lol!

Time is the money they worry about, their currency is time. Yeah! You heard me right! They buy foods, get paid, take public transports are trades with their time. Everyone has a digital counter on their arm that tell how much time you left. The time can be trade & reloads.

They transfer the time with their hand as if there's NFC underneath their skin. Nokia N9 has this NFC technology :P

In order to control the human population, they are allocated by zone, the poor are living in a zone where people would kills to get extra time. And for those who are rich, they can buy longer time and even live forever.

Rate 8.5/10 An interesting storyline, Malaysian should watch this so they would appreciate time. Say no to "Malaysia Time"

Taiwan Day 5 - Bullet Train

Continue with my Taiwan trip. After a night stay at Feng Chia, Taichung we head back to Taipei on next morning.

Went for superb breakfast at some roadside stall near Feng Chia street.

Check out our breakfast! All look yummy and all ain't really expensive tho.

All look very happy after a wonderful breakfast!

After that we head to get shuttle bus transfer to Taichung THSR Station and back to Taipei. The ticket cost NT675 about RM70 one way.

Before get on the train we bought some famous train lunch meal.

While waiting for the train to arrive........ we cam-ho what else can do? :P

Say harlo inside the bullet train! The train can travel at 300km/h but can't really feel the momentum speed.

It take about an hour to reach from Taichung Station to Taipei Main Station, really save a lot of time there.

Was wonder how's the famous train lunch meal look like?

Next gonna bring you to Taiwan's IT Mall that look alike Low Yat Plaza in Malaysia :P

Last weekend I've catched the 3rd sequel of Paranormal Activity 3 that brought back what had actually happened and why two of the sisters received the same fate.

It's 1988. Young Katie lives with her younger sister Kristi, her mom Julie, and Julie's boyfriend Dennis. Strange things are afoot in their house, around the same time that young Kristi begins communicating with an imaginary friend named Toby. Is it a normal kid phase, or is it something more sinister? As with the other films, cameras are placed around the house to capture anything odd that may happen during the night. (In a clever bit of ingenuity, Dennis takes apart an oscillating fan and places a camera on it so that he can pan from living room to kitchen and back.)

Suki-Ya at Tokyo Street, Pavilion

About 2 months back ~~yes I've totally forgotten this~~ I've visited Suki-Ya at Tokyo Street. Not the Tokyo's Street in Japan ~~how I wish~~, it's the one in Pavilion on level 6.

Suki-Ya is an all you can eat shabu shabu buffet restaurant.

Me and my fellow friends met up together to have dinner at same time celebrate YY's birthday.

They have 2 type of soup which are Sukiyaki & Kimchi. Advise to take Sukiyaki soup if you don't like spicy. ~~Kimchi soup really not nice~~

They serve unlimited meats like chicken, lamb and beef. All you need to do is raise your hand and ask!

Vegetable is available at Health Bar corner and assorted vege is available there and as well eggs.

You throw in all the vegetable into the soup to make it taste sweeter before you dip in your meat.

Once it's hot dip in your meat for few minutes to let the meat cooked.

For me I'll dip my beef for 10-25 seconds in the soup

and fast fast dip it into raw egg so the egg will coat on the beef. Then fast fast put in your mouth. Hot? Surprisingly it's not hot at all. Hahhaha! Damn hungry updating this blogpost.

Use my long hand to cam-ho

The beef is the best, second is the lamb. They also have Wagyu Beef (cattle that drinks wine, listen to music and get massage before being slaughter) lol!

Ice cream is also available and you can DIY.

You can choose to have just chocolate or vanilla or you can have Michael Jackson (black & white)

then you can dress your ice cream

Wahlah! There you go, Cornetto Ice Cream :P

ps: the ice cream taste so so only, so don't be greedy and take a lot!

Overall the food there is not bad and the environment is clean. Price wise is acceptable Lunch is RM29.80++ (11am to 5pm) and Dinner is RM39.80++ (5pm-10pm)

You guys should give it a try if you happened to be in Pavilion and don't know what to eat. Oh ya! Long queue awaited on weekend and no reservation/booking allows.

Pikom Charity Run 2011 - Maratweethon

Today, on a wonderful morning I've attended a charity run organised by PIKOM in aid of National Cancer Society Malaysia.

What is Maratweethon? Actually I made that up. lol! If you followed me on twitter I did not only run, I take picture, tweets, check-ins, answer phone calls.... typical city people behavior? :P Hmmm... can I copyright the word?

The event start at 7.30am where the starting point is at Pikom ICT Mall@Capsquare. The run is only 6.4km circling around in the heart of KL city.

We all look like smurfs invading Kuala Lumpur with the blue theme shirt.

I SMURF KL!

The route is quite interesting, we started at the Pikom ICT Mall, then toward Jalan Dang Wangi

and we passed by the Malaysia twin corns, KLCC.

After that we run to Jalan Sultan Ismail and ~~walk~~ run circling the Menara Kuala Lumpur. This is the toughest part where we need to run uphill. Justin Hee claimed that's the Initial D turning lol! Oh ya! I bumped with Justin on the run and Ivy. Hola!

Then we passed by Ambank.

Due to the routes in the center of KL, there are few roads were blocked/closure and this made hell a lot of honks! Check out the traffics!

There are 2 pit stops for drink, 1 is at KL Tower and the other one is at Jalan Ceylon if I'm not wrong.

I took less than 50 minutes to complete the 6.4km Maratweethon. Pheww! Long time never run, feel so old!

I got my teeth DENTED!!!!

Once I got the medal I straight go and bite. I see all medalist bite ma! See the dent I made on the medal. lol! Joking only lar!

It's a fun run and feel good to have exercise at the same time doing CHARITY! Way to go Joshua! Tak tahu malu :P

Taiwan Day 4 - Feng Chia Night Market

After visited Sun Moon Lake, we head to Taichung where we a night. We stayed nearby to Feng Chia Night Market, famous commercial business districts as well a famous shopping paradise in Taichung.

It took about 2 hours to reach Feng Chia night market by car.

Check out our rooms in Taichung. The homestay is just opposite of Feng Chia University and called "Happy Times"

The room is quite spacious and cheap, it can fit about 4-5 people in one room. A night stay would only cost NT1500.

After we have checked in, we all go out to have our dinner.

A proper dinner meal.

After that we all head to night market. FYI, Feng Chia is one of the biggest night market in Taiwan and it's the most recommended night market to visit.

We took a group photo before we split to 2 group, guys walk and gal shopping.

If you planning to buy sport shoe, you can consider to buy it here. Lot of variety of brand and model somemore it's tax free. You can get the latest and cheapest sport shoe.

There are a lot small food/snack stalls, you won't die of hunger here.

Spotted Malaysia Satay, wow! I'm so proud can?

Friend recommended me to try their bitter melon juice which are not bitter at all and taste very good. It's good to reduce body heat.

I was halted with an eye catching signboard. I rubbed my eye to make sure my brain didn't trick me. I spotted a BIG PENIS stall!!! WTF!

Hahah! They are not providing sex service in public, they are just selling cakes that have the shape like a penis. lol! Taiwanese really bold!

Saw a long queue of people queuing up for big sausage wrap small sausage, they really like this tho. So do we, we ended up queuing as well :P

We walked and shopped till all the shop closed but we have yet to visited all. Seriously, do recommend to stay 2 days here, 1 day really not enough.

The gals bought a lot stuff at this night market, each of them bought atleast 5-8 pair of shoes o.O"

I still want to shop but unfortunately they all are closing, I'm so unhappy so I slept on the street like no one business to protest. lol!

Taiwan Day 4 - Sun Moon Lake

Didn't realised I've missed my Taiwan blogpost for 3 weeks. From my previos blogpost, we have visited Sun Moon Lake after Ching Jim Farm which took about an hour plus drive.

We need to buy tickets for boat ride to tour the lake. Each ticket cost NT300 about RM32.

The time we was there were raining, so we didn't stay there quite long. Just walk walk around and take ~~little~~ some photos.

There another stop to go uphill with gandola but we skipped it due to bad weather.

The tour guide told us a story about a history of "Grandmother Chicken Eggs"

1 egg she sold is only NT10 and she can earn NT100,00 every month. *rub eye* WTF! I also want to sell chicken egg weh!

What so special about the chicken egg?

er....... nothing special, taste like normal herba egg.

Before we head back to shore, we took a group photo at the Jetty.

The camera were setup on tripod with umbrella. Don't play play weh, the setup ain't easy weh. :P

After that we head back to Taichung's biggest night market where we all stay a night before heading back to Taipei.

I've just got a new clothes for my iPhone.

Wanted badly to have a lomo design case for my phone when I was got addicted with Instagram.

There are a lot camera design iPhone cases in the market but then most of it are thick. The new case I got is quite slim, I love the front part where the side corner are not over covered.

The case come with a sticker covering lense to make it look more perfect.

Stress Movie: Contagion & Fright Night

Ok! Both of this movies are not linked, just that I missed out to blogpost about it ~~reason for me to keep track how many movie I've watched in cinema then summaries it every years like 2009 & 2010.~~

One common thing I feel with these movies are they are damn stress to watch lor. I felt that I'm actually in the situation and if real I think I've already DIED!

Watched Contagion last weekend. The movie is about a threat of deadly disease and no vaccine for it, the international team doctors from WHO fight against time with the viral outbreak virus globally.

How come western vampire can be that good looking, where as the chinese vampire look so frozen and can't even walk, only can jump -.-"

Rate 8.5/10 The chasing and revenge is crazy and didn't know vampire good in jokes. lol! Few hilarious moments in some serious scenes is stomach killing.

A week back I did mentioned I've bought a new toy and it was a new DSLR camera.

Say hello to "Lai Kon" D5100!

It has a realises high resolution and smooth tonal gradation 16.2 effective megapixels CMOS sensor. A great control of noise level even on high ISO.

The powerful image processing engine "EXPEED 2" allow the D5100 to have full HD recording at 30fps which I maybe venture on this soon. Beside that it has built in stereo microphone and as well an optional stereo microphone compatible available.

The horizontal swing-out, vari-angle LCD monitor come in handy, gives new viewpoints from flexible angles. LCD monitor can opens horizontally from 0° to 180° and flips up and down from +180° to -90°

Catched a movie about a driver who drive. -.-"

Watched with Jeremy yesterday at GSC, 1 Utama, thanks to TimeOutKL for the invitation.

The movie is about a professional wheelman who do stunt drive for movie productions by day and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists by night. He has fallen in love with his beautiful neighbour, a vulnerable young mother whom her husband sentence in prison.

Then he has caught in trouble with her husband by helping him to paying off his protection money. Everything gone out of control and killing involved.

Rate 7.5/10 A quite serious movie IMHO and an unclear ending. The lead actor (Ryan Gosling) is really good. Surprisingly this movie received a very good rating in iMDb. Overall not bad just that too much long pause in between conversation which I found it a bit weird.

Actually the new Perodua Myvi 1.5 has 2 type which are the SE1.5 and Extreme 1.5.

Both of the Myvi 1.5 will runs on 1.5L 3SZ-VE engine which are the same with the current Perodua Alza. Auto and manual transmission are available on both model.

The different betweet the SE1.5 and 1.5 Extreme are the sportier bodykit and interior.

Did you guys listened to 988 radio station just now around 7.40pm? I was on air!!! Of course I'm not those special invited guest or what lar.

Took place in a call-in contest and won myself a pair of tix to catch Jim Sir aka Jim Chim "HK La Tiger" Stand Up Theatre Comedy Live in Malaysia 2011 drama.

Being some time I didn't take part in any radio contests and the last contest was a year ago.

Was stuck in jam and go nothing to do so I try my luck and I was lucky manage to call thru. Hahahah!

Thanks to 988 for the tickets, this the 1st time I watch Cantonese stand up comedy. I'm super excited!

BTW this evening I've bought a new toy!

Catched Nasi Lemak 2.0 just now at Berjaya Times Square.

Nasi Lemak 2.0 is a movie by Wee Meng Chee better known as Namewee. Nasi Lemak 2.0 is a movie about a young chef who is on a quest to find the best Nasi Lemak recipe.Multi-cultural based film where he met alot kind of people along way the quest and learnt the true meaning of unity and non-discrimination.

Impressive line up of Artists in this film such as Adibah Noor, Karen Kong, Afdlin Shauki, Kenny & Chee, Dato' David Arumugam, Reshmonu, Pete Teo, Felixia Yea, Dian Sharlin, Nadine Ann Thomas and much more. A lot familiar scenes such as Pudu, Jalan Pasar, Tanjung Sepat and much more.

I found the movie is super funny that all are related our country politics & cultures eg;
- Datuk Chua's incident
- Foreign labors in the country are cheap and can do better than locals
- "Diamlar"
- Hang Tuah (why you never put on sunblock?)
- Not only Chinese can speak Mandarin fluently, so can the Malays & Indian

Can tell me what I've left out?

Rate 6/10 Love the jokes & lame actions in the movie (you will understand if you are a Malaysian). I can only say the jokes are great but the storyline is so so only. Quite enjoy the movie, highly recommended to catch with friends and laugh together.

Perodua Myvi Extreme 1.5, Lagi Power Lagi Best

It's here! The long waited Myvi power with 1.5L engine.

Source from our country famous car reviewer Paultan, Perodua are coming out with a sporty version of Myvi which will have a 1.5L engine under the hood.

Perodua didn't name it SE (Special Edition) but they have name it as Extreme 1.5 as printed on the rear emblem. The tagline of the current Myvi were "Lagi Best" and for this one the tagline is "Lagi Power, Lagi Best" hmmmm sound like a racy car that gonna have illegal race. WTF!

The new Perodua Myvi Extreme used the same design with the current standard Myvi that facelifted with sportier front bumper, body kit and spoiler.

The yellow Myvi Extreme look like taken at port look like ready for shipment. All of it has the "Lagi Power, Lagi Best" sticker, most probably show units ready to demo/display at the Perodua branches/dealers showroom.

Check out the eye catching "Extreme" emblem.

The wheel look like to have the same size 14" on bronze colour which matched the coloured lip.

I was expected smoked headlight but unfortunately is a no for this model.

As for the interior, the steering & seats are wrapped with leather. Added on there are audio control buttons on the steering wheel paired with LCD touch screen head unit like the one available in Myvi Elegance. Carbon fibre on the door trims are spotted, made the car look sportier.

There are no official price or date of launch of this beauty, I believe the date would not be too far.

Apollo 18

Just got back from KLCC watched Apollo 18, thanks to Nuffnang for the invitation.

The movie is about some old footages that were found from the NASA's abandoned Apollo 18 mission where 3 American astronauts were sent on a secret expedition that never make theirs way back.

It revealed the reason of the U.S government why they did not disclose the expedition and NASA denies it's authenticity.

The story is not bad, there are so many clues unanswered eg;

Who's the unknown footprint? The moon spider or whatever didn't have such big feets.
Why the contaminated astronaut would behave so weird?
Why there are no more gravity-free in theirs aircraft and can sleep normally?

Rate 7/10 Overall not bad, interesting story and quite suspend tho. The film shooting method reminded me of Paranormal Activity, the shaky film OMG! making me dizzy. Hehhe! Not really that shaky actually.

Taiwan Day 4 - Ching Jing Farm, Taichung

My 4th day in Taiwan, the next day we head to Taichung. Another big city of Taiwan and stayed there 1 night. Rent a MPV and visited few places before we check-in to others homestay near Fengjia Night Market.

Our first destination was Ching Jing Farm, it's at uphill. It's like in Cameron/Genting Highland, cold and we all thought summer should be a bit warm. We are wrong, it was freaking cold and raining some more.

Was thought of cancelled the visit at Ching Jing Farm due to rains and all of us only wore short except Mich. But in the end we still continue the visit since we already reached.

It not really that heavy rain, we walked to shelter and saw some stalls selling fruits and "HOT SOUP"

An aunty offers us some soups and the soup....... I tell you, it's taste better than shark fins soup *that time only lar*. Each sip of the soup made us feel warmer.

In the end, the girls bought the soup ingredients from the aunty and spent around NT3000 for it. OMG! It's really a booby trap!

The peaches look yummy and it's very expensive, 1 peach is around NT100. Bought 1 and we all share, just wanted to have some taste. It's very sweet!

Before we head to the farm we took a group picha. Invented this "See teeth can't see eye pose"

Hahahaha! We all look silly!

Oh ya! I didn't mention this, Ching Jing Farm is famous for its lush agricultural plains and mountains landscape.

It's very slippery especially after rain.

There are ~~few~~ a lot sheep set free running around in the farm and we all can get close to it to touch and take picha. I don't dare to count how many are there I afraid I may felt asleep. Hahahah! Lame joke :P

Seriously! All the sheep there have meaningless life, I can only see them eat and shit then eat again then shit again. Hardly see them stop eating. I'll die if I'm a sheep.

All the sheep there are not friend and they are very materialistic. Why??? We all have to chase them to take picha, running around here and there and we did also sweat in such weather o.O"

tired chasing them, we take picha of ourself.

After that we bought some foods for them, all run to us -.-" ain't that materialistic?

Do you know why Taiwan are so famous with bubble pearl tea?

Theirs country are rich with it, you see it's everywhere! lol!

Sheep may also get diarrhea although just eating grasses. If you hate vegetable, just tell your mum you may also get diarrhea eating vegetable. Muakakakak!

After the chasing and calories burning! It's makan time!

Outside the farm got few food stalls. Spotted this Babi Hutan meat!

Can see the babi in the photo? I mean the signage there! :P Mich don't marah ya!

It's super nice I tell you! I'm not sure it's because we are hungry or the weather turn every hot foods to very nice!

This one is tofu wrap dun know what already. Taste ok lar!

Here also got big sausage wrap small sausage! Damn nice! Hahaahha!

Yesterday I've watched The Smurfs, one of my all favorites cartoon when I was small. I still remember the song, brought a lot memories to me. The characters are remained same goes with the voices. Nice nice nice!

The story is about wizard Gargamel ~~Garbagesmell~~ who wanted to catch the Smurfs to make a powerful magic potion. The Smurfs was chased out of their village and tumbled into a vortex from their magical world into ours. The Smurfs try to find their way back to their village before Gargamel track them down.

Rate 7.5/10 It's Smurf nice! Brought back my childhood. lol! I'm not that old ok? It's not bad but the story was kinna short.

Taiwan Day 3 - The One

Continue back to my Taiwan trip, hahahah! Sound like never end. XD

After the visit at Shifen, Sky Lantern & Planking on train's railway we head back to Taipei and have our dinner nearby our Homestay.

Walked around to find a place for dinner, to be surprised that the restaurants there closed very early. Only can find foods at night market and no night market are around the area.

We loitering around for about half an hour then we ended up at a buffet Shabu Shabu restaurant called "The One"

The foods there are................ not nice to be honest. It costs NT380 per pax if I'm not mistaken

The soup there are not that nice as compare to Malaysia's Shabu Shabu. The meat and vegetable there not really that fresh.

It's us! Everyone have a bowl of soup and cooks theirs own foods.

After that we went out for a walk before called it's a day, then we saw a lot people sitting on a small chair plays arcade games to win some soft toys but earning tickets. Not only 1 stall opened, there are few stalls operating on the roadside.

Adult DVDs are also sold there. 5 for NT100 only Hahahah!

While we on our way back to homestay, saw an unique baker's house. They have a lot cute and adorable cakes.

That's all our 3rd day in Taiwan, the next day we all went to Taichung, a city located in west-central of Taiwan.

Destinasi Terakhir Lima

Woots! Just catched Final Destination 5 this evening. The movie is "SIR RAM" (seram) lol!

As usual, someone got a vision that a freak accident is gonna happened and they survived/cheated the death. Then they all have to face death although they've survived. Yeah! It's just the same as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th sequel of Final Destination.

The only reason people would like to watch this movie although the story are the same is to witness the un-explainable freak incidents and can join the pains virtually. Am'I right? Do leave your comments ya.

This time is about a suspension-bridge collapsed and 5 survived and the last part is actually linked to the 1st sequel about the plane crash.

Rate 7.5/10 Not bad to exercise your heart. This movie tells accident happened and life are short. ~~Go and get some drugs~~ lol! Joking! Enjoy your life to the fullness and cherish your friends, family and loved one k?

For those who's on twitter you may I know Steve Job the founder and the CEO of Apple Inc. has announced his resignation after 14-year reign at the technology giant company. This day was expected when he has detected pancreatic cancer and it has gotten worst.

Tim Cook the COO of Apple Inc will be replaced Steve Job and the shares of Apple fell as much as 7% after hours trading yesterday.

“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, that day has come.” Said Steve Job

Taiwan Day 3 - Shifen Train Station (Sky Lantern)

Continue my Taiwan journey! After visited Jiufen, we headed to Shifen, train station. Here is the place where a lot people set free sky lantern to the sky, so did we ~~my first time ok?~~

As you can see the train station is still operating and I don't know why some blog said it has stopped operation and no trains will pass by.

We walk walk on the train rails and snap snap picture. See! So nice ~~Mich~~ the background. Hahahah!

Spy Kids: All the Time in the World

Just got back from dinner and a movie with Buddy at Pavilion.

Celebrated an advance birthday for YY and more about it next.

Now I'm gonna have a quick and short blogpost about a movie that I've watched a while ago.

DO NOT spend your time/money to watch Spy Kids or even download. It's a stupid and kiddo movie, unless for your kids or you would like to try out the 4D Aroma Scope.

What is 4D aroma-scope?

They give you a scents card with number on it. You need to scratch the number when it appeared on the screen so it will release some scents as if you were there. er....... creative? don't get the point? stupid? you decide. I didn't try that as I've only watched the normal one.

Spy Kids is an action comedy about a retired spy who are called back into action and to bond with her new step children. She invited them along for the adventure to stop the evil Timekeeper from taking over the world.

Rate 2/10 The 2 points is given to Jessica Alba and the movie got nothing to shout about. The talking dog, the doesn't make sense evil plan by Timekeeper, the Kung Fu baby.... OMG! Please kill me.

Taiwan Day 3 - Jiufen

Continue my Taiwan journey day 3. After visited Yehliu Geopark, we have went to Jiufen direct translation nine point? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Jiufen are famous with red lantern street and famous with mochi, pineapple cake, sunflower biscuits, fishballs and more unique foods.

The famous mochi. This mochi are also sold in Jusco but of course Taiwan here taste much better lor.

We did try this "Red Wine Meat Ball with Glutious Rice Skin"

It taste not bad tho but not everyone would like the taste and the outlook.

We did also try Ah Gan Yee Taro Balls which look or are the same like Snowflake that we have in Malaysia.

It taste much better than snowflake in KL, better chew. I've showed them my snowflake card but then they rejected me. -.-"

Yut Kee Babi Breakfast

Last Sunday Jerry suggested us to have breakfast at Yut Kee which located at Dang Wangi. It's just few blocks from Nuffnang's Office.

A lot people & blogger did recommend and write up food review of this restaurant. It's not a fancy restaurant that serve high class foods. Theirs specialty menu are Pork Chop, Chicken Chop, Roti Babi, Char Siew Rice and more.

When we reached there already a lot people, you need to place your name to take turn.

We've ordered Hokkien Mee

The famous Pork Chop & Chicken Chop. To be honest the pork or chicken is normal only and the sauce so so only. I wonder why so many people willing to queue for like 20-30 minutes to have theirs breakfast? ~~drugs in it?~~

Rate 6.5/10 The story was not bad and quite action packed but the aliens and cowboys ain't that impressive. Daniel Craig look very look as he is same age with Harrison Ford lol!

Taiwan Day 3 - Yehliu Geopark

Day 3 at Taiwan, we planned to visit Yehliu Geopark.

Yehliu Park is a stratum natural landscape composed of sedimentary rocks that formed by impact of sea erosion on softer rock layers, while those hard and solid turned into sea capes.

We had a quite heavy breakfast in the morning before start our journey. We rented a 9 seaters Hyundai Startex, it's actually cheaper and cost efficient than taking public transport.

The drivers came quite early and brought us to breakfast. We had minced pork rice for breakfast. WTF right? The drivers said not much shops open that early, so no choice lor.

The journey took about 1 hour to reach to the destination. While we on our way there, we passed by a superb nice view next to sea. Stopped by there and snap photos non-stop.

Finally we reached Yehliu Geopark.

The entrance fee to Yehliu Geopark is only 50NT$ which about RM5 +/-

Taiwan Day 2 - Shilin Night Market

Back to my Taiwan trip

After paid a visit at a Temple near Yunshan's MRT. We planned to go to Shenkeng, a place famous with Tofu and also named as Tofu street.

We took MRT from Yunshan MRT Station to Muzha MRT Station then take bus to Shenkeng.

It was raining when we reached to Muzha, it didn't stop us to continue our journey. So we bought few umbrellas.

Took 660 Zhinnan Bus Co. across the road. It take about 40 minutes to reach to Shenkeng. *try to ask the driver to notify when reached, they all are very friendly*

The rain have not stop when we reached, so we walked to a dessert house opposite Tofu Street. They got assorted taste of Tofu and cake. All are made of soya. Feel so healthy eat it :P

It's a Tofu galore here, stinky tofu is everywhere.

There's a long stress queue on this Stinky Tofu's stall.

We walk walk and makan makan all the way from the start and end of the road. We did try the 20NT$ tall ice cream, last time used to be 10NT$ but it never beat McDonalds Sundae Cone.

After that we head back to the bus stop and took the same bus return to Muzha MRT.
It's almost dawn when we reached to Muzha, then we took MRT head back to Jiantan for dinner and night market walk at Shilin.

Misty rain still there when we reached at Shilin, so we decided to have early dinner before the night market shopping.

While on our way there I saw Optimus Prime on the road!

We had Mee Sua opposite the night market.

Their foods look very nice but it doesn't taste as good by it look :P

Rain stopped and we continue venture the night market. Fruits stalls are everywhere, another point why Taiwan people are slim. They eat fruits, drink tea and walk a lot, I mean ALOT!

Shopping for about 2 hours + till our leg cramped. They girls have theirs own shopping and the guys have theirs. We all meet up at a cafe at the end of the road.

They have this unique Cheese Tea that look like beers. Taste quite special.

Due to too early dinner, we tapao some foods for suppers at our homestay.

Recommended "Large Fried Chicken"

The Rise of The Planet of The Apes

Finally I've watched "The Rise of The Planet of The Apes" hmmm does anyone felt the title is abit weird or just me??

This movie actually reminder me the ancient chinese movie "Xu Em Hong" The Monkey King Hahah!

Ok! The story set in San Francisco, where a company run experiments on apes to find a medical cure for Alzheimer disease. The genetic engineering has lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

Although this is not a big movie like Marvels or DC but I found the outcome is superb. Great CGI and great storyline. It able to deliver the message of selfishness of human.

Rate 9.5/10 Feel so touched and almost cried out when he got locked up and he drew a windows that similar to home he stayed. Highly recommended to watch!

Nokia N9 Preview Kuala Lumpur

Last Thursday I've attended a special preview session of the upcoming Nokia N9 which run on MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan OS platform.

The event was held at Marmalade, Bangsar Village 2.

A bunch of bloggers was invited on the invite.

The announcement of the Nokia N9 few weeks back has actually attracted alot people attention by it's pure touch smartphone and the powerful MeeGo OS platform.

I was lucky enough to given the golden opportunities to be the among first in Malaysia to play with the Nokia N9.

Mr. Glen Cha, Head of Operative Product Management brief us more about the new Nokia N9.

Nokia N9 are summaries with 3 key principles,

The simplicity of a swipe
One home. Three simple views

I were excited to get to hold and play around the Nokia N9, although it's not the final product but I found it quite mature enough to be released to the public.

This is my personal thought on the new Nokia N9. I was impressed with the smoothness of the MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan UI, it's fluided and responsive (thanks to it's powerful 1Ghz ARM Cortex-A8 OMAP processor and large 1GB RAM). The simple gesture "Swipe" is simply ingenious, it's very easy to understand and use. It's a total new easy and straight forward UI to use.

It has three recognisable home views arranged in a carousel (360° degree)

Application - to start tasks quickly
Open Application - to see all the running apps and multitasking between apps.
Events - to stay connected with people, new and events in one view (Facebook, Feed, Twitter and etc)

The hardware and software were jointly designed together seamlessly.

N9 has a 3.9" vivid AMOLED bright screen display (WVGA 854x480). The missing buttons on the front allowed it to be designed in smaller and thinner size without reducing the screen size.

The curved glass and the laminated deep black display technology make it look like the application are literally floating on top of the screen.

It has a unibody one pice smooth design which made of polycarbonate body which I found it's very easy to hold and antislip.

Back of the N9 located a 8MP Carl Zeiss autofocus camera with 28mm wide lens, great low light performance with large lens aperture f/2.2 and dual LED flash. Beside that it also has touch to focus for ease of shoot photo or video.

It paired with a quite decent speaker powered with Dolby Digital plus at the bottom of N9.

On top it has a micro-USB and it used micro SIM like iPhone 4.

On the right it has a power button and volume toggle.

Nokia N9 has the latest Nokia Maps with free, voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation for walking and driving. It has a dedicated drive app for in-car navigation which allow navigation to destination instantly. Not like it's ancestor's Nokia N900 runs on Maemo 5 that does not have voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation.

A fast web browser is built on the latest webkit 2 and multiple websites can be conveniently viewed in Open Application, wide HTML5 support offers access to rich web application and fast video playback.

HTML5 test on iPhone 4, Nokia N9 & Samsung Galaxy S

Developer mode are ready with the x-term just like the Nokia N900.

Beside the Nokia N9 unit, we get the chance to experience a pair of Nokia Play 360 NFC Speakers.

The sound output is very good and great to use in a small room.

The Nokia N9 will be made available in Malaysia market very soon. There are no actual date to announced by Nokia Malaysia. It will be available in two varients, 16GB (will offers Black, Cyan & Magenta) and 64GB (will only available in Black)

8TV PSA Ramadan 2011 TV Ads

Have you watched sudden viral video/ads done by Media Prima Bhd/8TV?

This video was released as a Public Service Announcement (PSA) on 8TV were claimed that the advertisements were racist in nature. The ads were heavy criticism by the public via social media. Thus today Media Prima Bhd has announced the decision on micro-blogging site Twitter after coming under fire for the allegedly condescending tone of the public service announcements.

The former 8TV CEO, Ahmad Izhm Omar did responsed to the criticism via twitter which I found it quite not responsible

Chill guys. Don’t overthink the ads. Its written, produced and directed by a multi-racial team. If you overanalyse, anything will be bad.

This ads comes in 3 different scenarios.

1st - A "Chinese" girl being loud and obnoxious during the Muslim fasting month
2nd - A "Chinese" girl eating publicly during the Muslim fasting month
3rd - A "Chinese" girl wore revealing clothing

The message they are trying to pass is to suggest the non-Muslims refrain from such behaviour/carry away in public and "please understand and respect the significance of Ramadhan"

This just my personal thought about the unprofessional PSA.

Why they want this "Chinese" girl to act like an idiots blonde or maybe she is? Who know?

Girl cannot simply touch stranger? Especially those who are in fasting? ~~This may make them orgasm?~~

What's wrong with her armpit? Smelly? Meat revealing? Wearing sleeveless and legging is inappropriate? Come on! It's just a normal clothing fashion, plus why she need to tell that she could attract attention with that? Because of touching the banana?

If that are not allowed I would suggest to wear the Saudi Arabian Women dress to bazaar.

I found it quite offensive. It's just like telling us "NOT TO GO RAMADAN BAZAAR, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME"

Insighter | Ouch! | Harry Potter

Last Saturday I've met up some Honda Insight enthusiasm owners at Kayu, Aman Suria.

All were gathered from the Facebook Honda Insight Malaysia community, so I also go there kepoh kepoh. lol!

There were 12 peoples turned up that day and had a photo session too. Hmmm why car only huh? My face ler?

7 out of 12 are white, 1 blue, 1 black and 3 silver if I remember correctly Woots! Can spot my car? ~~neh the black roof one ler~~ :P

Had a great chat and meet up with them, shared thought and experience of their cars, super friendly. They already have a plan to have a day convoy trip to Putrajaya. Hope it's gonna happen soon! :)

Last Sunday I've went to a bloods donation campaign at Jusco, Maluri. Noticed the campaign on Saturday but didn't brought my red book, so only come on the next day.

Tweeted about it and few of my friends responded to go together-gether. Jonny & Bee Kim, I'm proud of you two :)

There was a lot people queuing up to donate bloods, probably before of weekend some more it's at shopping mall.

This is my 6th times, I got no money to help people but I can spare my bloods to those who really need it.

I'm so proud of myself can? ~~Shiok sendiri + tak tahu malu~~

After the donation, me and my friends went for movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

I've missed the part 1 thus the starting made me a bit clueless what it's about.

A great wrap up on the final series of Harry Potter, simply brilliant. Magics packed, great CG, wonder how's like in 3D. The last scene, after 19 years had me LMAO. How come they never grew taller? Who agree?

Rate 9/10 I want to watch back the whole series of Harry Potter again!

Taiwan Day 2 - Martyrs' Shine

Again back to my Taiwan trip, the 2nd day of Taiwan. It's gonna be a long blogpost.

The 2nd day we planned to visit Martyrs' Shine, a building built dedicated to the people who sacrificed their lives fighting for theirs country in another word Graveyard. WTF!

Guess what? The Taiwan's famous singer, Teresa Teng also placed here as mostly are only the soldiers.

We had Sushi for breakfast which near to the building we stayed.

We took MRT from Taipei Main Station to Jiantan and take bus to Martyrs' Shine.

The bus come in 15 minutes once, you can check which bus to the destination at the bus stop. We took 267 (Red Bus)

If you notice there are seatbelt on each of the seat but er........ no one actually use it :P

It took about 20 minutes to reach there. You can ask the bus driver to notify you once reached to the destination.

We reached there just perfect to see the guards to change shift which happen every 1 hour. The process ain't just walk in and it's changed but they will do some performances and it's quite an elaborate process.

Mum said "if you go to others people's house must greet theirs elder, if you visit others country must pay respect in temple" :P

After bai bai, we head to somewhere that have great foods.

Woots! Just got back from Mid Valley, catched Captain America, The First Avenge. Thank you so much to LowyatNet for the free movie screening.

Another Marvel Comic after Green Lanterns.

The movie took place back in 1942, when America has entered World War II. Steve Rogers a sickly young Brooklyn youth who determined to join the military service. Everything has changed when Dr. Erksine recruited him for a secret project that turned him from a sickly boy to extraordinary superhero, Captain America.

Rate 7.5/10 If you love comics, you may enjoy this. Quite exaggerated although the WWII was in 1942 but all the military weapon and technology are more advanced than now. Yeah I know, it's a comic. That why comic lovers would definitely like this. The weapon they use is quite good tho, no need to clean dead body after been shot as it's gone just like that. Poof! Hahha!

Taiwan Day 1 - Wu Fen Pu

This gonna be a super long post! Last week I've visited Taiwan with buddies of mine for 8 days. Trust me, 8 days really not enough tho!

Back to my Taiwan trip.

I've took Air Asia X which bought last year! Yes! Last year! It's on promo ma! I'm one of those kiasu people.

You know what? Our name was announced for being late on board, some more we run like crazy people as the plane is freaking far! WTF!

We touched down at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at around 4pm. The flight took about 4 hours 30 minutes. Damn stressful sitting on the lousy seat. Why all the plane seats have to be so uncomfortable? Can Mr. Tony Fernandes do something on this? ~~like he's gonna read this lol!~~

Oh ya! The buddies come along to Taiwan.

Let me introduce them: Mich, Yoke Yee, Sandy, Jerry, Abby, Charmaine and Andy.

Booked 2 cabs to fetch us to the homestay we rented.

In the cab, passed by some building which still under construction and it covered with a very nice cover as it's already completed!

We booked 2 apartment next to Taipei MRT Main Station. It's super convenience as it's located in the heart of Taipei.

Check out my apartment's balcony view. Superb kan?

How's the room look like? Hehehe! I've forgotten to take and already intruded the room but it's very nice and clean and high tech. No need use key de, just key in a passkey. Hahah! I'm damn Jakun!

As I've mentioned earlier, the MRT Taipei Main Station is very near, it's a walking distance from the homestay we stayed. Less than 2 minutes and no need to walk outside one, it's linked! Awesome kan?

The infrastructural in Taipei City is well organised and convenience.

Can you see the orange stop in the middle of the train map? That is where we stayed! Heheheh! Next time if you are coming to Taiwan and wanted to stay in Taipei, remember to find one nearby there.

Took the 1st Taiwan MRT, er...... nothing to shout, some like our LRT in Malaysia but more cleaner and all the people here would queue to get on the ride.

All the people in Taiwanese really polite, helpful and friendly. They would queue even taking bus, lift and even escalator but the pull back is Taiwanese drive damn reckless and would horn others if they are slow -.-"

Our 1st destination is Wu Fen Pu Night Market, so stopped at Houshanpi station as that is the nearest train station. To all banana our there, you don't have to worry with road sign as it has pin yin so it's very easy to explore.

Wu Fen Pu are famous with wholesale market. All the clothes here is very cheap but quite fashionable as according to YY. Although is cheap but then she said the clothes here look abit cacat/like rejected (FOS?)

The gals went shopping and the guys busy finding local foods!

A lot mini stalls/street foods can be found in Taiwan's Night Market and it's not that expensive.

This is one their most famous street foods, big sausage wrap small sausage 大腸包小腸. It's actually a glutinous rice wrapped on pork sausage. Drooling!

After the shopping and eating, we head for a proper dinner at Formosa Chang.

Formosa Chang is famous with stewed pork and also minced pork rice. OMG! All also pork! Sorry to all Muslim member, hope this won't offended you.

Then we head back to our homestay. We had not enough and thought Taiwan at night will be very happening but didn't know, they closed shop damn early.

Couldn't try their local foods. We walk walk and walk, ended up we had KFC. Hahah! The driver who sent us here mentioned that KFC has comes out with a new meal. Chicken wrap cheese and vege. Heard also feel the sin. lol!

Reached Taiwan this morning via Air Asia X! Gonna be a short update for 2day. Great to have FREE WiFi in our hostel. Woots!

Where were you last Saturday? 09072011. Went for Bersih Rally? Unfortunately I didn't take part but to show my support to #Bersih, I've sprayed my car to Yellow! lol!

On Saturday I've actually went for a fruit tasting session for my company upcoming event "Fruits Fiesta" which also held once last year.

Went there with empty stomach and ate the Durians like my breakfast. lol!

The shop is located at Kepong nearby the TNB & a Chinese temple. The main attraction of the durian is our famous local fruit's king "Musang King"

The stock of durian is super alot! I'm ain't kidding, it's super alot! Even Tesco also come here to refill stock.

Had a lot Musang King and also one called "Bamboo Leg or something"

Had your durians these year? My fingers now still got the smell. ewww right? :P

After the fruit tasting, I head to KL to join the crowd........... ok! I lied.

I went to GSC, Leisure Mall to redeem my free movie tickets, thanks to GSC-EON Bank.

Rate 7.5/10 Cute & adorable penguins. Great to catch Jim Carrey back in movie. He's really a joker king, laughted very hard with his gesture jokes. Although he look old but still great with his expertise. Oh ya! BFF in his term is Big Fat Friend. lol!

2nd of July was a big day for me. This year I've turned 18th. Woots!

YY "BAO-ed" me whole day.

In the afternoon, we had Sushi for brunch. We went to Sakae Sushi at Fahrenheit88.

After that I went for a hair cut, wonder why every year on my birthday I would have a haircut.

Then YY brought me for massage at SS2.

Big Foot suit me very much! Not for small foot :P

Super long time I never had foot massage. The last time was like er....................... a decade if I recalled -.-"

Feel abit awkward when a guys massaged my foot and I would feel shy to have a girl to massage. *confused* One word to describe I'm easily paiseh-ed.

Happy Face

Me & YY enjoyed this very much. A coffee neck pillow place on my neck, the smell so relaxing.

Not only foot massage, there's another 10 minutes on shoulder. Almost fallen asleep with the massages, whole body feel loosen up and refreshed.

Next went for dinner at Outback Steakhouse opposite Low Yat Plaza.

Supposedly plan go to Victoria Station but then it's super crowded then decide to go to The Ship after that ended up at Outback Steakhouse when I passed by.

Every years birthday I would have Ribeye, it taste quite good tho.

A must to have Birthday Cake. YY said I should have a complete cake on my birthday. Only 2 of us how to finish ah? :P

Transformer 3: Dark of The Moon | Cake

Finally I've catches the most talk-about movie yet fully booked till next week movie, Transformer 3: Dark of The Moon.

It was actually organised by my company to all staffs and glad to be apart of the committees in this event.

Before the movie start, I was surprised with an advanced birthday cake that bought from my colleagues. Oh ya, it was my 18th ~~26th~~ birthday after it hits 12am.

Thank you so much to my colleagues for being thoughtful. Blew my 1st Birthday cake at Cinema. My first time. Heheheh!

Back to the movie, Transformer 3. As expected a lot cool CG shown in this movie, more great cars & Transformers appeared in this sequel. Some peoples said the plot is very poor and a bit boring. What I can say is, this time they have actually delivered what audiences wants. The 2 and half hours was pleasured with unpredictable plot. Love every bits of it.

Rate 9/10 I'm so gonna watch this again, it's a worth to pay to watch it in Gold Class / IMAX. Gonna try IMAX 3D probably next week! :)

Penang Sunbathing

Finally it's come to the end of my Penang trip a month ago.

After visited Kek Lok Si, we went to Batu Ferringhi for some sea breeze and sun bathing.

Nature is so beautiful kan? Don't know how long it can last with all the pollution that we made.

After that, we head back to Gurney drive and dropped by at Gurney Plaza for some air cond and also lunch.

Wonder what I had for lunch?

After that we walk walk around and windows shopping at Gurney Plaza & First Avenue.

Next we head back again to Batu Ferringhi, Teluk Bahang for sunset.

Here is actually a boats fishing port, Persatuan Nelayan Kawasan Teluk Bahang.

Didn't really know go such place as we are simply drive drive around of Batu Ferringhi to spot a better place for Sunset.

It's indeed a great place taking picha.

So we camho-ed at there till sunset.

Bye bye Mr. Sun!

We had our last dinner at Teksen Restaurant.

Never heard or read review of this restaurant, just simply walk-in cause saw a lot people dining in.

The foods there are not bad tho and quite affordable.

Last week I've catched Green Lantern.

This movie is about a test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe.

Rate 8.5/10 If you don't know what movie to watch, you can consider this. Great CG yet funny.

Hello Kuan Yi

Continue with my Penang trip.

Early in the morning we hunt for great breakfast. Went to Ayer Itam to have the famous sister curry mee.

Their curry mee famous with traditional charcoal cooking style.

It's yummilicious!

ordered siu mai as well. They don't use sweet sauce but then only have tomato sauce.

After the wonderful breakfast me and YY head to Kek Lok Si which are nearby only.

Went there took some photo and

say hi to Kuan Yi. I was thought already built completely.

Stayed there for about an hour.

Then we head for next destination.

Guess where I head to? Something sandy and blue! :)

David Archuleta Live in Kuala Lumpur

Yeah! You heard me right, David Archuleta will be in Kuala Lumpur for a concert "The Other Side of Down Concert" that will held at Stadium Negara, 26th of July 2011.

The 20 year old Utah boy self-titled 2008 debut album contained hit songs like "Crush", "A Little Too Not Over You" and "Touch My Hand", were on the Top 10 charts across all major radio stations.

His follow-up album "The Other Side of Down" has also generated hit singles like "Something Bout Love" and "Elevator".

The last visit received an overwhelming response where more than 5,000 fans who showed up for his showcase in Sunway. Finally Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia brought David back to Malaysia for a full concert.

Penang - Oh Jian Oh!

Last month I've visited Penang with YY, cari cari makan and ambik ambik gambar.

This is the 1st time I drove my new car on a long distance ride. Wonder how's the fuel consumption like for such long distance drive? To be honest, nothing much different compare with city drive, I guess this car really meant for city drive only.

Reached to Penang quite late around 4pm and checked-in at Tune Hotel. Next we straight head for lunch at Lorong Selamat.

Had Oh Jian

and Curry Mee aka in KL Asam Laksa accompany with Penang's favourite drink, Umbra.

Then we didn't go anywhere as it's quite late, so we chilled out at Starbucks. Damn I'm so addicted to this poison.

Lingered around in Starbucks next to our Hotel then cari places where dinner. Surveyed via twitter and thanks to @KayKayster for the suggestion to try out seafood at Tambun.

So we went to Tambun for fresh seafood.

Cost only 2 of us, we only ordered 3 dishes.

This one is very nice! A bit spicy and very appetizing.

also ordered sweet and sour crabs serve with buns.

The seafoods there is quite fresh and dirt cheap.

Super Tallboyz Bros

Finally I got a new header for my blog. Had received a quite positive feedbacks of my Gulliver Travel's header.

Finally I've make a move to change it. This time, it's Super Mario ~~Tallboyz~~ Bros.

Ideas of course from The famous Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) video game itself, Mario.

Mario is a fictional character in his eponymous video game series which are created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. Mario is an Italian-American plumber who lives in the Mushroom Kingdom, repeatedly stop the turtle-like villain's numerous plans to kind his Princess.

Mario 1st appear was a "Jumpman" in the arcade game Donkey Kong in 1981. Wow! He's older than me man! He's shown as a carpenter that has a pet ape and he mistreated the ape. So the ape aka Donkey Kong escape and kidnaps Jumpman's girlfriend aka Princess. So this is how the game start.

A quite interesting games that has been us for 30 years.

Super 8 | It's Coming Tomorrow

Yesterday I've watched Super 8. A quite mysterious trailer released sometime ago, wonder what's inside the train that try to get out after a crash.

Super 8 is a Sci-fic movie about a group of friend in a small Ohio town witnessed a disastrous train crash while making a short film project. Then they soon found it was not an accident. Unexplained and usual event began to take place in town and the local deputy tries to uncover the truth.

Rate 8.5/10 So transformer feel, maybe because produced by Steven Spielberg. Great attempt to stay mystery and making us guessing what's inside the train. ~~It's actually an alien XD~~

Buletin Utama's auto segment has just previewed a sneak preview of an upcoming Perodua with name code D54T which are the replacement of the hot selling Perodua Myvi.

And just now, saw a 1 minute ads of the new Perodua Myvi and some key features were shown on the ads.

X-Men : First Class | Instagram

Just watched X-Men : First Class at Berjaya Times Square.

Another great Marvel Comics' superhero action movie after Thor.

X-Men First Class is about Charles Xavier and Erik Lensher before took the names as Professor X and Magneto, discovered the first time powers they owned. They were archenemies and were closest friends, works together and with others Mutants which are similar to them to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. It's the beginning of the X-Men.

Rate 9.5/10 Packed with actions, bad guys death and good guys survived. lol! Worth to watch even on Gold Class. This movie made me want to read their's comics. :) Can't wait for another sequel of X-Men.

Kung Fu Panda 2 | Footwell Light

Last week I've watched the second sequel of Kung Fu Panda and it's in Cantonese version.

Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five. But Po's new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu. He must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins; only then will Po be able to unlock the strength he needs to succeed iMDB

Rate 8/10 It's very funny. Cannon can defect Kung Fu? This movie did tells "Why Panda is getting lesser and lesser in this world?" Hahhaha!
