Nikon D70s

We all gather up at 0530 and head to Angkor Wat to buy passes to visit the temples. We bought 3 days passes for 40USD.

p/s : They used a 300k VGA webcam to snap the photo. Haha!

The weather that day wasn’t that good hence we failed to snap sunrise photo at Angkor Wat. One interesting bought Angkor Wat is it built facing sunset as mostly temples built vice verse.

After that we head back to the guest house for breakfast.

We did went out to buy some of their famous France Bread. The taste is not bad just that the bread is a bit hard maybe that’s the specialty.

After that we went to Angkor Thom. Angkor Thom was built late 12th century with Bayon style. The entrance has 4 faces of Asura and it’s the largest Khmer cities. There are 2 temples inside Anglor Thom which is Bayon Temple and Bapuon Temple.

Below is the Bayon Temple and Bapuon Temple.

Bayon Temple is known as Smiley Asura and Bapuon Temple is known as Elephant Terrance.

After that we went to Takeo and also known as a cursed temple. It was built late 10th century with Khleng style. It was built entirely with sandstone and has 5 massive towers on top of the imposing temple.

Our stomach happened to ringing and we went for lunch nearby Ta Prohm temple.

This is what we had ordered.

Next we pay a visit to Ta Prohm temple. This is one of a scene of the movie of Tomb Raider. Ta Prohm was built late 12th century with Bayon style. It surrounded with a lot gigantic trees. Most of the sculptures of Buddhism were destroyed after Jayavarman VII took over as he committed to Hinduism.

That’s all for the 1st day visits at Angkor Wat.

Then we went back to the guest house and had our dinner at Romboul Siem Reap Restaurant. It’s a steamboat style that expensive yet not delicious.

After that we went for a tradisional foots massage. It is my 1st time foots massage. It’s only 4USD per hour only.
