Christmas Dinner at Marciano's

Posted by Anonymous |

On Christmas eve, few days back ago, I had a wonderful Christmas dinner with YY.

We have decided to go to the same restaurant that I celebrated my Birthday few months back at RoadHouse Grill.

Me and YY missed the Ribeye very much. Seriously the ribeye there is very nice and the price was good too.

The restaurant actually has changed name to Marciano's and we almost missed it.

Me and YY, while waiting for our foods to be served.

The starter was a plate of salad that taste like popiah that has mayo on it.

Both of us ordered ribeye cooked in "Medium Rare" and something paiseh happened.

FYI medium rare cook is about 60~70% cooked and the rest are raw. When you slice the meat, you could see some bloods.

We have made a very wrong decision till we have requested them to cook it again. lol!

Wen Jing and Ahmike got it right, the presents that I got from YY was a wallet

and.... till now I still can't believe it a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8

It has been my wishlist for very long time ago.

Thank you dear dear for the wonderful presents and I love it all very much.

Alvin & The Chipmunks The Squeakquel

Posted by Anonymous |

Just watched Alvin & The Chipmunks, The Squeakquel. The sequence of Alvin & The Chipmunks and this time added a new group band consist of 3 female's Chipmunks known as The Chipettes.

The 1st time I heard the name Chipettes, I laughed like hell. The pronunciation of Chipettes is Chee Pet and in Cantonese fault word it's mean "Female's Private Part"

So should Alvin and his brother change their band to The LxxJxx? Muakakak!

This time Alvin, Simon & Theodore went to school. A lot funny and crazies things happened and also met The Chipettes.

Some cool, cute and familiar musics features in the movie.

To know more, you may have to move to butt to the nearest cinema to find out more.

Overall it's a great movie to be watched with family and friends to have a great laugh together.

Rate 8.5/10 The selling point of this movie was the fluffy and cute chipmunks with a very high key vocal that never fail us to laugh.

Back to my previous Batu Caves Visit, after the photo outing we went for makan at Serendah.

On half way we stopped for Yu Yu Ice Blended, it has a lot flavors Cendols, Laici, Red Bean, Sweet Sour Plum and more.

It look and taste a bit like Slurpee as it need spoon and straw to drink. This is the 1st time I tried and it taste not bad.

Next we reached to Restoran Sam Hing intro by Perry.

Their's specialty is "Yau Mee/Slim Noodle"

we also ordered Fried Yin Yong.

Then we went to a black restaurant that has few specialty to try out.

We had Ulu Yam Lor Mee

Fried Fish Tofu

Fish Pancakes

and also Hokkien Mee that has Yam and it's taste very nice.

I'm not gonna reveal the shop name and why it's called black restaurant?

Actually we ordered 2 pax but then the dish came was more than 4 pax yet the price was hiked way up high. Asked the staff, he told us that is small and it's for 2 pax. WTF!

Posted by Anonymous |

Last Saturday I've received a parcel from US. Was expecting for it a weeks ago after I've received an email from Mr. Ricky Cadden.

Mr. Ricky Cadden is actually the editor of Symbian Guru. I've always been a big fans of Symbian Guru when I've fell in love with Symbian. What is Symbian? Symbian is an Operating System that used widely on mobile phone especially Nokia. I do run a Nokia blog, do check it out HERE.

I'm more like a reader and rarely leaving any comments till I've participate "Give Thanks With A Free 16GB Sandisk MicroSD Card" few weeks ago in celebration of Thanksgiving day that organised by Symbian-Guru.

And I'm lucky enough to be the winner and won myself a 16GB microSD with microSD adapter and USB reader.

That's a big memory size in a tiny size that can be use on my Nokia N97 mini.

Thank you so much to Symbian Guru and Merry Christmas to Mr. Ricky Cadden.

No doubt, December really month my month.

BTW yesterday morning I've went to Batu Caves with a fren of mine and met a new bunch of frens for photo outing and makan session. Gonna blog post bout it very soon.

Really obsessed with Tilt & Shift. One photo for now. Stay tune!

Posted by Anonymous |

I've just reached a sms from MixDotFM that I have won 4 invites to watch The Bodyguards & Assassins on 17th Dec 2009.

Another must watch canto action movie starred by Donnie Yen that casted the movie IP Man and a lot famous Hongkie stars such as Tony Leng, Leon Lai, Nicholas Tse, Eric Tsang and more.

Guess what? This movie has clashed with the Avatar movie that I've won from Nuffnang, but the good thing is the movie was hold on the same cinema and also about the same time. Thus I've given out all of the tickets to my colleagues. Sad! I wish to watch this movie tho.

Here a short trailer of the movie.

The Princess & The Frog

Posted by Anonymous |

This afternoon I went for a movie at Mid Valley, we've watched "The Princess & The Frog"

If you have watched the trailer, you would know it's a reversed version of the actual storyboard. The Princess has became the frog instead of the frog broke the curse and turned back to The Prince. In this movie the Prince and the Princess are black. (Maybe becoz Obama are the US new President?)

The movie's graphic used was really classic, no heavy graphics applied. It just like what it have used on the earlier Walt Disney fairytale movies and it's good.

This movie reminded me of "The Cinderella" that when I was a kids, I would always watched the movie over and over again during the weekend without favoredness.

As usual, musical elements applied in the movie. The storyline are well executed.

Rate 8.5/10 this would be a best movie to catch with family members.

The Storm Warriors Premiere Screening

Posted by Anonymous |

Just got back from The Storm Warriors Premiere Screening at Mid Valley Megamall.

The main actors was Tallboyz & Tallboyz incorporate with Tallboyz No Budget Production........... oops wrong poster.

Ah! This is the correct one.

About a month ago I've participation a contest held by GSC-EON Bank in collaboration with Nuffnang Malaysia, Blog & Win "If I'm a Storm Warriors" and I'm lucky enough to win 2 premiere passes.

Reached at Mid Valley around 7+ meet up with JunJunRiko, Hikaru, Cayenne and Adrian for dinner at KimGary. Yeah! KimGary again! lol Dun know why? Follow my Twitter you will know why! Haha

I've attended a few premiere movies and this is the first time that "Soft Drink & Popcorn" were served to everyone. What a thoughtful and generous sponsors.

Back to the movie, I found that the previous movie, The Storm Riders is better that The Storm Warriors with greater storyline. No doubt the CG was remarkable great but the story is a bit short and simple.

Unbelievably both of the movies was gapped 11 years and the actors Aaron Kwok & Ekin Cheng still look the same. Salute!

Conversation are less in the movie, fighting can be done by minds.

The choreography are very nice as it's like I'm watching it from the comic.

To be able to digest this sort of movie you may need to put yourself like reading a comic, else you may found yourself cranking your head asking what are they doing? How come like this? How come like that? lol!

Got few scenes was damn funny. One was when Nameless gave Striding Cloud a name for his new sword technique both we like "buta huruf". Cloud can't read the word and Nameless like simply hantam the word out.

This is my few thought of the actors and actress in the movie;
Aaron Kwok - Played very well in the movie as Striding Cloud
Ekin Cheng - Look abit rusted in acting, the last part damn fake
Simon Yam - Love his metal suit alot and his weakness was armpit? lol
Charlene - Ah Fung, Ah Wan, vomit blood, cry, that all

Overall got 6/10  The CG does impressive me but the sound quality a bit in and out like haven't reached the final production.

BTW Harlo to Benooi (Travel from Penang), CWKen, YungChien, Xiang, JackieLoi, Jac, Mynjayz, and others nice to meet you guys

*All of the opinion was just my personal thought, I'm not trying to biases any parties here. Fairly for my personal interest.

Teeq Restaurant, Lot 10 Rooftop

Posted by Anonymous |

This morning I've attended Storm Warriors - Prize giving away held at Teeq Restaurant, Lot 10, Rooftop.

Meeting up with JunJunRiko and Cayenne before together we head to Teeq Restaurant.

I did took some photos during the event but missed out the prize giving ceremony session as need to move my ass on to the stage. What did I get? Just a pair of Premiere Screening of Storm Warriors for tomorrow and a goodies bag.

Really didn't know there's such nice place at rooftop of Lot 10.

The event suppose to start at 10.30am, I guess Malaysian would never be punctual or we are just too punctual. lol!

Limited Edition Collectible Storm Warriors Merchandise.

JunJunRiko & Cayenne

Foods were served after the prizes give away ceremony. The foods taste quite nice, I had 3 rounds. lol!

As usual, cam-ho is a must. Let say hello to Karvinn, he travel all the all way from Klang just to representing his buddy to get the prize.

Before the event end, I fast fast grab myself the replica sword of The Storm Warriors to pose. It's quite solid and heavy tho.

Before I left, I manage to capture a superb view of our busy city, Kuala Lumpur.

Couples Retreat

Posted by Anonymous |

Just watched Couples Retreat at Pavilion with YY. The Christmas decorations are everywhere, the music songs, peoples wearing the red Christmas hat, Christmas shopping. Wow it's feel so good as I'm in holiday.

The movie is about 4 good couples journey to a tropical island resort as one of the couple went there to work on their marriage by participating the resort's couple therapy. And as the rest were expecting for a relaxing holiday but turned up they have to participate the couple therapy as well as it's not optional.

A lot humours and laughter can be found in this movie, especially the yoga class.

The island views was simply breathtaking, was wondering where's the place.

Rate 7/10 a great medicine for a good laugh =)

BTW Happy Monday guys!
