You Again | Green Sea

Posted by Joshua |

Last Saturday I've watched "You Again" starred Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, Odette Yustman and Betty White.

Sypnosis
Marni (Kristen Bell), a new Vice President of a large Public Relations Agency, is returning home for her brother Will's (James Wolk) wedding. Marni discovers that his bride Joanna (Odette Yustman) is her former arch nemesis in high school who made her life a living hell. Joanna is now an angel in her brother's eyes, absolutely not the memories that Marni has of her tormentor. All of this is compounded by the fact that the bride's wealthy Aunt Romona (Sigourney Weaver) flies into town and comes face to face with Marni's mother Gail (Jamie Lee Curtis), who it turns out has an old high school score to settle with Gail. Marni must protect her brother by showing him Joanna's true colors before he makes the biggest mistake in his life. The claws are about to come out. Douglas Young (the-movie-guy) iMDB

Rate 7.5/10 A quite funny high school life where the nerd got humiliated and the queen are the warden. The story is quite rush and the jokes is so so only.

BTW I just got back from "Green Sea"

anyone can guess where I've been to? Hints *Check out my Twitter*

Hennessy Artistry 2010, MIECC

Posted by Joshua |

Last Saturday I've attended Hennessy Artistry, The Global Art of Mixing Party at The Mines International Exhibition Convention Center.

This is one of the BIGGEST Hennessy Artistry 2010. The performances are from around the world which including Kardinal Offishal, Da Mouth, DJ Alex Dreamz, Mizz Nina, Deja Voodoo Spell and Foulworks feat. Ms Eva T.

The party was the most happening party I've ever attended bcoz I don't club

We all are treated like a VIP with free flow of Hennessy drink. It's a waste for me and YY coz we don't really drink, had only a cup and that's it.

The stage is so grand and also equipped with alot nice spotlights, a good props for photog.

Oh ya, I've tagged YY along in this party.

We reached there quite punctual therefore you don't see much peoples arrived yet.

As usual, this sort of event would never miss the happening bloggers.

Shannon Chow, Tian Chad, Jason Goh, YY & Me.

Jackie Loi, CWKen, Shannon again, Me, Mr. Simon So.

It has been long time didn't meet JunJun Riko, damn she loss alot of weight ler. Almost couldn't recognise her. XD.

The event started with Deja Voodoo Spells

Next with our proud Malaysian, Mizz Nina performanced her hit single "What You Waiting For"

I even manage to record it in video. The song was just too awesome.

Sorry for the heavy bass song playback as I was standing exactly next to the sub. -.-"

The most happening performance of the day was from Da Mouth, the Taiwan 's rhythm pumping Hip Hop quartet. There are some peoples regarded as the Black Eyed Peas of Asia.

During theirs performance, everyone was shouting for the main female voice Aisa. She's indeed pretty, cute and slizzing HOT. *I heard werewolf*

Recorded video of them but I would suggest you to turn your volume to minimum as the bass was just too high and couldn't really hear the song. FML!

After Da Mouth finished performance, Kardinal Offishal was next. The Canadian rapping really amazing, doesn't know how many words he spilled out in a second.

They are really good in making the crowd get high. Everyone was yelling together with them

Didn't manage to watch all the performance as it's almost 1am and YY already yawn for bed. lol!

Missed out DJ Alex Dreamz and Foulworks feat. Ms. Eva T.

Seriously the night was very happening, really enjoyed the performances and couldn't wait for the next Hennesy Artistry to come.

Takers

Posted by Joshua |

Just got back from premier movie screening "Takers" at Mid Valley.

Thanks to Sirens Media and Sony Pictures for the invitation.

Synopsis;
A group of five exceptional bank robbers have been able to successfully rob several banks with such perfect execution that the police do not have a single clue to capture them. These criminals treat each robbery as a business plan that works. First, they plan each job with clockwork precision and are extremely careful in not leaving any evidence behind. Second, they fence the money to get it clean. Third, they all lay low for one year between jobs to not bring any attention to themselves. They decide to pull off one last heist that will be their biggest score, by taking out an armored-car. Their meticulous planning of robbing banks is thrown out the window, because of the short time frame to do the job, and the large amount of cash they will split. This may be the break the police have been waiting for, when this band of thieves finally makes a mistake. IMDb

Not gonna be a spoiler here, just a summaries of the movie. The movie is about Planning, Success, Revenge, Betrayed, Love, Family & Greediness.

Rate 7.5/10 A quite draggy movie and some redundant characters the polices. The planning and actions is quite suspended, all the characters are treated fair.

The Child's Eye | Henessy Artistry

Posted by Joshua |

Yesterday I've catched "The Child's Eye" at Pavilion before head to Henessy Artistry.

I did a silly act for being super ultra late to the cinema as I've bought a 15:50 movie ticket but I was thought it's 16:50. Missed an hour show :(

Synopsis;
Being stranded in Thailand by the political uprising and the subsequent airport closure, Rainie and her friends are unable to return home. Reluctantly, they stay in an old and shabby hotel. Among them are Rainie’s on the verge of breaking up boyfriend, Lok; Ling and her brother Rex; Ciwi and her beloved boyfriend, Hei. From the moment they check in the hotel, they come across three weird children and a puppy, and then strange things begin to happen one after another.

Rate 6/10 Please don't take my rate judge the movie as I've only watched about 40 minutes of the show only. What I know from the movie is Rainie acting skill was very bad somemore she's the main actress in this movie. It's wasn't as scary as I expected.

As what I've just mentioned, yesterday I've attended one of the biggest Hennesy Artistry Party of 2010 at MIECC, The Mines.

The party was super happening and alot Artistes & Deejay around the world performed live at here, Henessy Artistry.

More photos and videos will be shared on my coming blogpost. Stay tune!

Stop Staring Can?

Posted by Joshua |

A quick update for today, just got back home from Ampang. Went to the famous Ampang, Nine Emperors Festival with Jason, Ewin & Bryan.

The last time I went there was like........... a decade, lol! I guess everything look the same, the same ritual, the crowded smoky temple, jolt sticks that are removed immediate upon you plug-in and not to be forgotten, the smell-like-shit-that-can-kill-me "rotten tofu" that sell at the roadside.

Seriously, it smell like shit and I'm not shitting you, the weird things about this rotten tofu is the smell will be only visible when you walked away from the stall but when you stand at the stall you won't smell a thing. Weird kan?

Walked in and meet up with sweaty Jason and walk walk around the temple. Didn't snap much photos there, it's way too crowded and smoky.

Some snapshots of the day

The opera show remind me of a ghost movie. XD

Then I walk walk around and feel abit uncomfortable, it's like someone watching me I know I'm hensem, please don't keep staring at me lol!

OMG! The stare was creepy! :P

BTW did I tell you I met Sonic? lol!

Before leave, Jason asked from a group photo. Damn nice kan UWA? but my face look distorted -.-"

BTW how's you weekend? Mine is suck! See me in the photo where I'm wearing Toshiba T shirt? Yeah! I'm working today and same goes tomorrow. *BigSadFace*
