The rumors is real, Nikon coming out with a DSLR that support full-time autofocus in video recording. The Nikon D3100.



This info of this camera was found on official website of Nikon USA. The Nikon D3100 is an entry level in Nikon DSLR replacing the Nikon D3000.

The major feature of the camera is Full 1080p (Progressive) and not "i" High Definition Video Recording with FULL-TIME AUTOFOCUS with sound allow you to record cinematic-quality movies in Full 1080 HD format.


The features available in the new Nikon D3100;

14.2 Megapixel DX-format CMOS Image Sensor, delivers beautiful photographs and prints well in beyond 20 x 30 inches. Finally Nikon decided to ditch CCD.

Fast 11-points Autofocus System, delivers razor sharp pictures.

3" LCD monitor with One-Touch Liew View shooting and movie capture. 230k dots/320x240 pixels, that sound good enough for an entry DSLR.

Built-in HDMI port allows you to connect directly to your HDTV for pleasure viewing.

Improved ISO sensitivity of 100-3200 and expandable to ISO 12800 equivalent for better shooting in low-light environments.

New processor, EXPEED 2 a new image processing engine assures breathtaking rich image quality, managing color, contrast, exposure, noise and speed.

Active D-Lighting help to restore picture-enhancing detail in shadows and highlights.
