Kuching Trip Part 4 - William Hung

Posted by Anonymous |

Now back to my Kuching trip. As we visited all the long & tall house of the native's people in Sarawak, we all are invited to the theater room for their culture's dance show.

A welcome dance that I manage to video record;

Different tribe would have different traditional outfit and all are very colourful and unique, same goes with the dances.

Below are some photos that I took.

The Orang Bidayuh's outfit does look similar to the Vietnam people. What do you think?

This warrior is actually carrying a quite heavy wood by bitting it with his mouth.

His dance step is like eagle flying. Don't get by his serious face, he's actually a joker, made the crowd laugh like no tomorrow.

The traditional Melayu dance that snap your feet while you dance. Damn tension when it goes fast. lol!

There are actually more performances.

The show was wrapped up with invitation to all guest to dance together-gether on stage.

By surprise, I spotted once famouse William Hung was on the stage. He visited Kuching weh. Can you spot him? Muakakakak!

The show finished, so what next? Of course makan lor! Hahahha! We head to the restaurant in the SCV for lunch.

We had pumpkin soup, ayam pansung, squid, daun paku pakis & pyramid rice. lol!

Coming up next post would be Masak Masak the Iban's food & jungle + river trekking. Woots! Stay tune yo!

The story is about a buddy who grows up together in an estate's house in Hong Kong separated after an incident of money loss. Life carried on until they bumped back together in the estate's house they grew up.

Check out the "I Love Hong Kong" trailer below

Rate 9/10 It's funny yet a lot familiar casts that you can see in TVB. Don't know why, alot CNY's movie must add "INCEPTION" Over all great movie with watch with friends & family.

Today already Chor 3/3rd days of CNY.

For those who are still single I guess you have collected hunted alot angpows.

What's the highest & lowest did you received in a single angpow and from who? It's sound bad hor to reveal such P & C information.

But I'm gonna reveal it today....................  those who give me small small angpows sure -.-" x 100000 lol! Joking only lar!

Below are the angpows that I've collected, can you guess which one has the most money in it?

The answer is from Nuffnang Malaysia.

Received my 3rd cheque from Nuffnang, a day before CNY. A great amount money that I saved for so long. :P

And as according to some horoscope reader, 2nd days of CNY to bank in money/cheque would make your bank account always flooded with money. Yeah! I'm superstitious! lol!

So did you bank-in any money into your bank on the 2nd days of CNY? Care to share what's the highest money you received in single angpow? :P

Posted by Anonymous |

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

I hope everyone had fun, met up with all your friends & family and collected a lot of ANGPOWs!

Watching movie together would never missed in these festive days. So I didn't miss the chance and watched 2 movies.

The 1st movie was "The Green Hornet" that watched with my fellow friends at Mid Valley.

The Green Hornet is an American comic book masked vigilante.

Check out the trailer to know more about the movie;

My perspective of this movie are never under underestimate China Made products. Chinese would always be the great fighter and the ah moh/gwai lou/caucasian always took the credit.

Rate 8/10 A quite stupid and not logic movie but I enjoyed the hilarious very much. BTW I didn't know Shanghai is in Japan. lol!

The 2nd movie I watched is every years also have "All Well Ends Well 2011"

A new cast, Donnie Yen was added in this 6th installment in the All's Well, Ends Well film series. A romantic comedy movie about women's cosmetics.

Rate 8/10 This time the storyline is much simple and funny. Tickles from start till the end of the movie.

The logon look as good as the real M2U page.

I simply key in a ID and password.

Then it prompted to a page to verify details such as email, password and NRIC. Now all the details has saved by the Aussie.

The finaly step for them to transfer all the money from you account. TAC number.

All the steps now is sufficient to drain out all your hard earn money.

Can claim back the money by reporting to the police or Maybank management?

The answer is "NO"
Once you have send your TAC number, it mean you have honour the transaction.

So be careful if you received this kind of scam email or suspicious links. Get contact with the bank if you not sure what you are doing.

Kuching Trip Part 3 - Traditional Viagra?

Posted by Anonymous |

Back to my Kuching Trip!

The next day morning after we had an incredible supper, we are forced requested to have an exercise in the morning.

Only left 4 of us, the bloggers as the medias & artistes when to the local radio station, Cat FM in Kuching town.

Spinzer look so excited yo. Had about 30 minutes sweating is great supposingly 1 hour but we came late :P

After that we head for a heavy breakfast before the next activities.

Did try out the famous Sarawak laksa also, early in the morning somemore.

Ordered fruits juice to reduces spicy that we had.

We were treated as VIP guests and brought us loitering around the SVC. Shown and tell us the histories of each tribes.

The 1st visit is the Rumah Bidayuh.

The native people of Orang bidayuh are specialist in Bamboo, the can make everything with it including weapons.

Their houses built about 2 floors high and sealed with hard wood on the floor to prevent being attack by theirs enemies.

Check out the video below, he will explain the history of Orang Bidayuh.

2nd pit stop was the Rumah Iban where I stayed.

Orang Iban has the highest population among all the native people in Sarawak.

Next we visited Rumah Orang Ulu.

Orang Ulu mostly stay up hill of the jungle to avoid unnecessary attack by their enemies.

Met a naked man play guitar in the long house.......... -.-"

Hahah! Joking only lar, he did wore a sexy underwear or better known as cawat (if I spelled it correctly)

Rumah Melanau is the Sarawak 1st skyscraper or to be called as apartment.

There are 3 floors in this tall house and each windows has a room for 1 family. Mean in a house of this can have a very big family.

The house was built high to prevent being attack by enemies and they can splash hot water from their house if the enemy try to attack them.

To build such house would required 5 years to clean the land & another 5 years to build the house. Wahseh!

Then we went to the chinese house. The chinese there are mostly farmers and traders.

They planted pepper and also do trading such as rice & bird nest.

Saw this antique music box & radio.

Look cool right?

The 2nd last stop is the Rumah Orang Melayu.

The house nothing much different in Semenanjung Malaysia.

We did witness the making of Kuih Kapit and Kuih Bahulu

This is how they make Kuih Bahulu in traditional way, they used charcoal in the making.

The last house went is the Rumah Penan.

The Orang Penan live in the woods and never stay in the same place, the moved frequently so they would not have a permanent house.

Because they stayed in the woods, they expertise of course hunting lor.

We tried out the Sumpit, a weapon they use for hunting.

Look at Spinzer, he really got style eh kena or tak kena that is different story lar. Hahahah!

I spotted this so called medicine that they used for toothache and now they used for others purposes.

Their entertainment for the night. lol!

We attend a music class it's more likely a detention class as we need to learn hit the drum with hand by following the rhythm, damn pain & tired you know?

Then we go head for some traditional games.

Bowling with coconut. WTF!

This doesn't stop spinzer to be pro again although the bowling don't have the 3 holes on the coconut. lol!

We also had a something look quite wrong game.

Traditional Golf they claimed, check the video and you will know why. Hahahah!

Phew, what a long post. Do follow me on twitter @tallboyz and stay tune for my coming update on my Kuching trip. :)
